SAD to report the passing of former NWBF president and life member Janet Duffy at the Ashlynn Grange Care Home, Bretton, on Monday, July 8 after a relatively short illness at the age of 80.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Janet and her late husband Danny were stalwarts of the Federation movement and Janet was NWBF competition secretary for many years, as well as a regular county player, both for Northants in the Federation and Hunts in the association code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She played for the now defunct South Ward club, then Peterborough & District, where she was a member of the successful ladies squad that won the national Top Club four times, and finally Whittlesey Manor, where her husband also ended his playing career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 15th with a brief committal service at Peterborough Crematorium at 12.30pm followed by a celebration of her life at St Andrew’s Church, Alwalton PE7 3UN at 2.00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
