NO JOY FOR COUNTY LADIES

THE Northants county women’s teams concluded their season with home defeats at the hands of near neighbours Hunts which unfortunately means the Donald Steward and Silver Jubilee squads were unable to win a match between them this summer.

Both teams secured two rink wins apiece, but the Donald Steward team, playing at City of Peterborough, were narrowly beaten overall by just nine shots (76-85), while the Silver Jubilee side at Yaxley lost 75-100.

Rink wins for the Donald Steward team came from Liz Hext and Myra Landsburgh, while Jan McDougall and Pauline Jones recorded wins for the Silver Jubilee line-up.
